1st GRADE HIGHLIGHT: The 1st grade class has been learning about Ancient Egypt and mummification. Mrs. McCrory helped the students understand the process by mummifying an apple and then taking it apart again to see what happened. The students were so excited that they could hardly contain themselves. They recorded their findings like a real scientist. The found that the apple was black around the edges, mushy, and definitely gross. In the photo the kids are touching the apple to see how it compares to a regular apple.
