Capital Campaign Fund
May 2016 Capital Campaign Update from Nate Kretzmann, Executive Director
Dear Friends and Families of NVCA,
We continue on a remarkable God-sized journey together! Since the beginning of our Capital Campaign, ‘Steps of Faith’, which launched in July 2014, we have raised slightly over $3.2 million which allowed us to acquire the properties, develop the site plans, design the campus/facilities and develop the exciting 21st Century education program that matches this unique and unparalleled learning environment. Throughout this journey together we are constantly reminded of Hebrews 11:1…“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” A journey of this magnitude can only be accomplished by faith, prayer and God’s grace.
Creating a 21st Century Learning Environment
Taking the best of traditional education and incorporating the attributes of tomorrow’s learning:
- Integrating collaboration, teamwork, and community learning with the best of traditional education
- Facilitating a variety of learning styles using small collaboration and seminar rooms, study areas, and the outdoor environment to provide stimuli and interaction to enrich the classroom experiences
- Limited size classrooms to service ALL students better providing close communities of learning giving each child the ability and advantage to grow to their highest potential, in a safe, secure, family atmosphere
The Road Ahead…..
In order to provide the resources to build this school, we continue to press forward with our ‘Steps of Faith’ capital campaign. Initially, we set our capital campaign goal at $5.5 million. We are just under 60% attainment of that goal. Between now and August 1, 2016, we will continue our fund raising efforts to provide the resources for paying off the remaining balance owed on the land, acquire the furniture, fixtures and equipment for the facility, as well as, outfit our campus with the latest and most effective technology solutions. Our remaining goal of just over $2.5 million is definitely attainable with God’s grace….’He is able to do immeasurably more than we can think or imagine.” Ephesians 3:20
So What’s Next?
NVCA is committed to providing a biblically-based education program that enables students to develop a Christian worldview, and to prepare them to fulfill their full potential and call in Christ. We plan to start excavation of the new campus this August with construction commencing in September 2016. Our current plans target a completion of July 2017 in time for the start of our 2017-2018 academic year.
